The Gateway Eagles waltzed into Tuesday's contest with two straight wins but they left with three. They breezed by Ida Baker on the road to the tune of 86-35. That's another feather in the cap for Gateway, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Leading Gateway to victory were Anjay Boyd and Christopher Davis. Boyd scored 18 points, while Davis dropped a double-double on 15 points and 10 rebounds. The matchup was Davis' third in a row with at least ten points. Jeffson Louis was another key contributor, scoring 4 points along with 7 steals.
Gateway's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Ida Baker, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gateway is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Community School of Naples at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th. As for Ida Baker, they will challenge North Fort Myers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
