San Ysidro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 65-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Preuss UCSD Tritons. One positive for the Cougars, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

When it comes to explaining why San Ysidro lost, don't look at Gianni Costa. Despite the final result, he posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Jordan Miranda, who put up nine points.

San Ysidro's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Preuss UCSD, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

San Ysidro didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 52-43 win against Rock Academy on the 27th. Preuss UCSD has also already played their next contest, a 61-56 defeat against Crawford on the 27th.
