The Falcon Falcons waltzed into their match on Tuesday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They walked away with a 77-66 win over Sand Creek. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Falcon's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jeramiah Potts led the charge by scoring 24 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Tyler Cox was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with six rebounds.
Falcon's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Sand Creek, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Falcon will challenge Elizabeth at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Elizabeth will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 244th, while Falcon is ranked 71st). As for Sand Creek, they will head out on the road to challenge The Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
