Softball Recap: Maritime Academy Charter Has No Trouble Against Penn Treaty

Maritime Academy Charter made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Penn Treaty, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Maritime Academy Charter Seadogs blew past the Penn Treaty Wolves 23-1 on Tuesday. With that victory, the Seadogs brought their scoring average up to 8.8 runs per game.

Maritime Academy Charter got a massive performance out of Jordyn Kile, who got on base in three of her six plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and five RBI. Jaycie Clark was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in three of her six plate appearances.

Maritime Academy Charter hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive matchups.

Maritime Academy Charter's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 1-3.

Looking ahead, Maritime Academy Charter will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Thomas A. Edison at 3:15 p.m. on March 25th. Penn Treaty will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Olney at 3:15 p.m. on March 28th.
