Rosemead's Patrick Lopez recorded the longest rushing play in Mission Valley this season in his game against El Monte last week. Lopez scampered for 68 yards on the play and finished with 208 on the day as his team topped the Lions.
Rosemead extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating El Monte, 45-0. The victory was the seventh in a row for Marc Paramo's team.
The Panthers' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Steven Nava threw for 248 and 3 touchdowns and Oscar Noriega had 101 yards receiving. On the ground Lopez chipped in 208 yards. Michael Sahagun helped Rosemead's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 82 yards.

He went 13-18 with 1 interception.
Nathan Coto was a passing and rushing force as Arroyo topped Mountain View. He completed 26 passes for 297 yards and 2 touchdowns and also ran for 20 yards. Coto's key target this week was Nico Lozano, who caught 11 passes for 107 yards.
The Knights' Coto and Lozano led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-11 quarterback Coto has thrown for 2,065 yards this season, while Lozano has 39 catches for 810 yards. South El Monte's Marcos Lopez leads the league in rushing yards with 948.
Fans will be thrilled by an exciting game in the secondary when Arroyo's Lozano goes up against the Eagles' Mario Burciaga.
Lopez of the South El Monte is just 52 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 133 carries Lopez has accumulated 948 yard this year.
Next week's game between the Knights and Ibis Aguilar's team will feature a good passing match up as Coto will test his arm against Burciaga's defensive ability.
A big matchup in Mission Valley this week will be when Gabrielino takes on the Panthers. The Eagles are in third place, while Rosemead is in first place.
Gabrielino moved up to 664 from 722 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Harold Sanin's team was able to move up by topping the Eagles 47-0.
