It was a good run, but The Alhambra Bulldogs unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 28-17 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northgate. Alhambra lost against Northgate in their previous head to head back in March of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 34-13 score last time.
Despite the loss, Alhambra still got an impressive performance from Beau Blau, who rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown.
Northgate was led to victory by Jake Berger and Ben Hosler. Berger gained 138 total yards and two touchdowns, while Hosler rushed for 154 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. Hosler's longest rush was for an incredible 71 yards.
Alhambra's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Northgate, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-7.
Alhambra will head out on the road to face off against College Park at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. College Park is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. Northgate will take on Benicia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
