Abigail Theophile and Ma?Kylah Menard certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Theophile dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds, while Menard scored three points.
Coconut Creek dropped their record down to 8-10 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.3 points per game. As for Coral Springs, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-6.
Coconut Creek will square off against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Dwyer presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Cougars in Florida (the Panthers are ranked 122nd, while the Cougars are ranked 380th). As for Coral Springs, they will face off against the Jaguars at TBD on Monday.
