The Roswell Hornets lost against the Blessed Trinity Titans back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Roswell lost to the Titans on the road by a decisive 55-36 margin. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Roswell in their matchups with the Titans: they've now lost four in a row.
Roswell's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alex Gonda, who scored 13 points along with three steals and three blocks. Katelyn Lumsden was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.
Roswell struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Roswell has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season. As for Blessed Trinity, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-13.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Pope the next time they take the court. Roswell will host the Greyhounds at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Titans will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
