It was a proper cat-fight when Warren County took on Kettle Run on Friday. Warren County wound up with the same score they had in their last game (8-2), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The loss put an end to their undefeated start to the season.
Warren County got a good showing from Alex Kenney, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time Kenney hasn't allowed a single hit since back in March of 2024.

Izaiah Matthews made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in April of 2024.
Having lost for the first time this season, Warren County fell to 2-1. As for Skyline, their record now sits at 0-3.
Skyline's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Warren County has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .454. It's a different story for Skyline, though, as they've only averaged .337. Will they be able to contain Warren County's hitters?
