The Rhodes Rams suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They were beaten by John Hay 69-16. Rhodes' loss continues an unfortunate trend for the team, making it four in a row.
Tylia Parker continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for John Hay, dropping a double-double on 33 points and ten steals. Parker is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Carr, who scored 20 points along with five steals.
Rhodes bumped their record down to 5-5 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.7 points per game. As for John Hay, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rhodes will challenge Bard Early College at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bard Early College is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for John Hay, they will head out on the road to square off against Lakewood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (Lakewood is ranked 361st, while John Hay is ranked 362nd).
