If Suffield Academy was feeling good  off their  10-3 takedown of Pomfret School last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit.  On Pomfret School's side,  Seth Duerden looked comfortable as he  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Carson Ames, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances.  Shep Wilcox was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
 Suffield Academy dropped their record down to 1-3 with that  defeat, which was their fourth straight  at home dating back to last season. As for Pomfret School, their  victory (their first of the  season) made their record 1-5.
 Suffield Academy will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Noble & Greenough at 3:30  p.m. As for Pomfret School, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Millbrook School at 1:30  p.m.  on Saturday. Millbrook School's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8  runs per game  this season, so Pomfret School's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
