Two dominant backs in Lucca Boyce and Cole StPierre are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Hand Tigers will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Shelton Gaels at 7:00 p.m. Hand will be strutting in after a victory while Shelton will be coming in after a defeat.
Hand is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Xavier 65-16 on Saturday. The Tigers have beaten the Falcons the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Falcons has come to flipping the script.

Bobby Reh
| 10/18/25 @ Xavier | 159.2 |
| 09/26/25 @ Brookfield | 126.1 |
| 10/03/25 @ Hamden | 119.2 |
| 09/19/25 vs North Haven | 108.8 |
| 09/13/25 @ St. Joseph | 108.7 |
Bobby Reh was his usual excellent self, throwing for 213 yards and four touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (159.2). Hand also got help from Finn Barry, who showed off his sure hands for 80 receiving yards.
Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 13 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Boyce, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Hand's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Nate Kessell, Andrew King, and Andrew Young, who each picked up one sack apiece.
Meanwhile, Shelton was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost to Guilford at home by a 17-0 margin. The game marked the first time this year in which the Gaels were not able to get on the board.
Hand's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Shelton, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's contest: Hand has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 356.5 total yards per game. It's a different story for Shelton, though, as they've been averaging only 241.2 total yards. Will Hand be able to march up the field at their leisure again, or will the Gaels flip the script?
Everything went Hand's way against Shelton in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Hand made off with a 52-29 victory. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Gaels turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
