After two games on the road, Orr is heading back home. They will take on the Lincoln Park Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Orr scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They came out on top against North Grand by a score of 69-57. With that victory, Orr brought their scoring average up to 51.1 points per game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Orr to victory, but perhaps none more so than Malik Meridy, who scored 23 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which Meridy has scored at least 25% of Orr's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Damarion Johnson, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Lincoln Park's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 69-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of Oakland Tech.
Orr's win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5. As for Lincoln Park, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.
Orr beat Lincoln Park 60-48 when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Does Orr have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lincoln Park turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
