The Coeur d'Alene Vikings can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Lewiston with a sharp 58-35 win. Given Coeur d'Alene's advantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while Lewiston is ranked 55th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Maddie Mitchell was her usual excellent self, scoring 23 points. Kendall Holecek was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Coeur d'Alene's victory was their 15th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 26.4 points. As for Lewiston, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.
