Softball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Jordan

Jordan hadn't done well against Green Hope recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Jordan put the hurt on Green Hope with a sharp 13-5 win. Jordan might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by eight runs or more this season.

Kylie Specht and Sydney Cornwell did most of the damage at the plate: Specht went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Cornwell went 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Cornwell is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Lucia Terruso also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen bases of the season.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Jordan, bringing their record up to 10-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Green Hope, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-8.

Jordan has already played their next contest, a 17-2 victory against Hillside on the 15th. As for Green Hope, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 14-2 loss against Middle Creek on the 14th.
