Everything went their way against East Duplin as Wallace-Rose Hill made off with a 74-48 victory. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 148th, while the Panthers are ranked 325th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

JAWON CARR was the offensive standout of the contest as he posted 18 points. JAMARAE LAMB was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Meanwhile, James Kenan suffered their biggest loss since December 21, 2023 on Friday. They had to suffer through a 88-58 loss at the hands of Southwest Onslow. The Tigers have struggled against the Stallions recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Wallace-Rose Hill has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for James Kenan, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.

Wallace-Rose Hill didn't have too much breathing room in their game against James Kenan when the teams last played back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 57-52 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wallace-Rose Hill since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
