Durant had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the nine-run drubbing they dealt Iowa City West on Friday. The Wildcats' pitchers stepped up to hand the Trojans a 9-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won four games by six runs or more so far this season.

Durant pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games.
