Medway is 0-10 against Hopkinton since October of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Mustangs will look to defend their home court against the Hillers at 5:45 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Medway and Dedham had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Mustangs came out on top against the Marauders by a score of 3-1 on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Marauders: they've now won three in a row.
Medway had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-20, 25-13, 25-16.

Medway can attribute much of their success to Charlotte George, who had 12 digs and two aces, and Lucy Mitchell, who had ten digs and three aces. The dominant performance also gave Mitchell a new career-high in assists (35). Emma Copeland also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.
They weren't the only good servers: Medway was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They are 3-1 when they serve at least ten aces.
Meanwhile, Hopkinton was able to grind out a solid victory over Ashland on Tuesday, taking the game 3-1.
Hopkinton was especially dominant in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 23-25, 25-18, 25-9.
Hopkinton's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Medway, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 4-6.
