Having just played yesterday, the Sparta Spartans will get right back to it and host Milwaukee Academy of Science at 12:00 p.m. on December 28th. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around on Thursday.
On Wednesday, Sparta had to suffer through a rough 67-30 loss at the hands of Caledonia. Sparta was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-10.
Sparta's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Amelia Russ, who scored 11 points, and Lily Seifert who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Milwaukee Academy of Science was beaten by Edison Academy 70-39 on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Milwaukee Academy of Science can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 100th in Wisconsin, while Edison Academy is ranked seventh in Michigan).
Sparta bumped their record down to 4-8 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Milwaukee Academy of Science, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-6.
