The Berryhill Chiefs will head out on the road to face off against the Cleveland Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Tuesday, Berryhill lost to Bristow at home by a decisive 67-51 margin. Berryhill has not had much luck with Bristow recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Meanwhile, Cleveland's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by Mannford on the road and fell 72-29. While losing is never fun, Cleveland can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 346th, while Mannford is ranked 64th).
Berryhill's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Cleveland, they dropped their record down to 6-14 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.
Berryhill was able to grind out a solid win over Cleveland when the teams last played back in January, winning 55-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Berryhill since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
