The Peddie Falcons will square off against the Hill School Rams at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Peddie has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 28.
Peddie came up short against Germantown Academy on Wednesday, falling 14-4.
Chloe Salapatas made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Sam Kent was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hill School, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Pottstown on Thursday as they made off with a 16-1 win. The victory continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won three in a row.
Cheyenne Flamer was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Flamer was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Willow Gall was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, two doubles, and one run. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jaelyn Bucinell, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and two RBI.
Hill School always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .767. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Peddie's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Hill School, their win bumped their record up to 2-6.
