It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Southridge Spartans had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Lions 68-6 at home. Southridge has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 21 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Dianka Hardisson, who scored 24 points along with eight assists. She hasn't dropped below 18 points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Shanaii Gamble, who scored 13 points along with five steals.
The victory (which was Southridge's fourth in a row) raised their record to 18-6. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Mater Academy Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.
Southridge will take on Lourdes Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Southridge has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 248 points over their last four games. Mater Academy Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
