The Loveland Red Wolves lost against the Horizon Hawks back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Loveland took a serious blow against Horizon, falling 66-37. Loveland has not had much luck with Horizon recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Several Red Wolves players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zayne Desouza, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Nic Rakowsky, who scored six points.
Horizon was led to victory by Brady Greene and Boaz Wisne. Greene scored ten points along with nine rebounds and two steals, while Wisne scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Mccollum, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Loveland's loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Horizon, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-6.
Loveland will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Erie at 6:30 p.m. As for Horizon, they will head out on the road to challenge Monarch at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Monarch is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 62 points per game.
