Softball Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Oconomowoc

Oconomowoc came out on top against Greendale on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run third inning. The Raccoons never let the Panthers get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The Raccoons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Carli Moldenhauer, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Macy Brazelton, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Oconomowoc was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Greendale only posted a batting average of .158.

The victory made it two in a row for Oconomowoc and bumps their season record up to 14-7. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Greendale, they dropped their record down to 13-8 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Oconomowoc and Greendale should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings. The Raccoons (ranked 61st) will meet Catholic Memorial (ranked 258th) at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Greendale will challenge Riverside University/Meir at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (144 vs. 310).
