Even though East Central has not done well against Clemens recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. East Central sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 50-47 victory over Clemens. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory East Central has posted yet this season.
San Marcos has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 39-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Judson. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points San Marcos has scored all season.
East Central is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-10 record this season. As for San Marcos, their loss ended a eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-7.
East Central didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against San Marcos in their previous meeting on January 9th, but they still walked away with a 49-44 win.
