St. Edmund Prep has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. After both having extra time off, the St. Edmund Prep Eagles and the St. Dominic Bayhawks will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 12:00 p.m. on December 30th. Hopefully St. Edmund Prep focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 last Monday.
St. Edmund Prep struggled with assists last Monday (Moore Catholic had 15 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. St. Edmund Prep was beaten by Moore Catholic 57-19. St. Edmund Prep was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-8.
St. Edmund Prep's defeat came about despite a quality game from Priscilla Long, who scored six points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Cadence Coffey, who scored two points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, even though Academy of the Holy Names scored an imposing 55 points on December 2nd, St. Dominic still came out on top. St. Dominic took their game against Academy of the Holy Names 63-55.
St. Edmund Prep's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 4-6. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.0 points per game. As for St. Dominic, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
