On Tuesday, the Ridgeline Falcons faced the Gonzaga Prep Bullpups in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Ridgeline took a 71-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bullpups. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Ridgeline in their matchups with the Bullpups: they've now lost six in a row.
Despite the loss, Ridgeline still got an impressive performance from Wyatt Cline, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Easton Amend, who scored 11 points.
Ridgeline's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Gonzaga Prep, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridgeline will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Mt. Spokane will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. As for Gonzaga Prep, they will head out on the road to take on the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mead will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 86th, while the Bullpups are ranked seventh).
