The El Rancho Dons 's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 51-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Montebello. El Rancho was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Montebello apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
When it comes to explaining why El Rancho lost, one person who can't be blamed is Justin Perez. Despite the final result, he scored 14 points along with 7 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Andrew Morones, who scored 6 points.
El Rancho's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Montebello, the last time they lost on the road was back two weeks ago. Having now won three straight away contests, they've pushed their record up to 4-6.
El Rancho will square off against El Toro at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. El Toro has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 186 points over their last three games. As for Montebello, they will look to defend their home court on December 11th against South El Monte at 6:30 p.m.
