Deshaun Jackson jr was his usual excellent self, scoring 13 points along with four steals and three blocks. Jabari Covington was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Newport is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season. As for Sayre, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-6.
