Auburn has gone a perfect 10-0 against Eastern Montgomery recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Eagles will look to defend their home field against the Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Auburn was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Fort Chiswell on Tuesday. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 12-3 margin over the Pioneers.
McKenzie Booth made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Back at the plate, Auburn got a massive performance out of Ariel Mullins, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that Mullins has hit this season. Hope Wilson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
Auburn always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fort Chiswell only posted an OBP of .250.
Meanwhile, Eastern Montgomery got themselves on the board against Narrows on Thursday, but Narrows never followed suit. They blew past the Green Waves 16-0. The victory was nothing new for the Mustangs as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Auburn is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Eastern Montgomery, they pushed their record up to 8-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Auburn hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .406. However, it's not like Eastern Montgomery struggles in that department as they've averaged .391. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Auburn took their win against Eastern Montgomery when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 12-0 score. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
