The Ocean Lakes Dolphins's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Green Run 62-19. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Ocean Lakes has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Ocean Lakes saw an underclassman step up: Jasymn Miller scored eight points along with 17 rebounds.
Ocean Lakes has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Green Run, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ocean Lakes will take on Hickory at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Green Run will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Landstown at 5:30 p.m. on January 12th. Landstown will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 282nd, while Green Run is ranked 72nd).
