The Shenandoah Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 21 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Knightstown 49-19 on the road. The win made it back-to-back wins for Shenandoah.
Shenandoah was led to victory by Gabbi Patrick and Grace Lee. Patrick scored seven points along with eight rebounds and five assists, while Lee scored 16 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Those five assists set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Haley Hughes, who scored ten points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Knightstown struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Shenandoah racked up 13 assists.
Shenandoah has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. As for Knightstown, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.
Shenandoah won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Tri on January 6th. Tri is looking to tack on another W to their nine-game streak on the road. As for Knightstown, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Northeastern at 7:30 p.m.
