Softball Recap: Chaminade Comes Up Short

Chaminade was the 2-1 winner over Heritage Christian when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Chaminade fell just short of Heritage Christian by a score of 7-6 on Tuesday.

Norah Pettersen made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Hogue, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.

Pettersen wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Chaminade kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Heritage Christian only managed four hits.

Chaminade now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Heritage Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

Chaminade didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-0 win against Arbor View on the 20th. As for Heritage Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 17-0 victory against Glendale on the 20th.
