Wolverine is 0-10 against Ellsworth since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Wolverine Wildcats will be playing at home against the Ellsworth Lancers at 7:00 p.m. Wolverine is out to stop a seven-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season.
Wolverine scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They strolled past North Michigan Christian Academy with points to spare, taking the game 69-53.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Ellsworth's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 45-44 to St. Mary Cathedral.
Despite the defeat, Ellsworth got a solid performance out of Patrick Puroll, who scored 12 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Puroll has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Evincio LaCount, who scored 17 points.
Wolverine's win bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Ellsworth, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-10.
