The Plainfield Cardinals suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They were dealt a 77-36 loss at the hands of Morris Catholic. It was the first time this season that Plainfield let down their fans at home.
Mia Pauldo was her usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with eight assists and five rebounds for Morris Catholic. Pauldo is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy Brown, who scored 11 points along with four steals.
Plainfield's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-4. As for Morris Catholic, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 16-0.
Plainfield won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Union Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on January 25th. Union Catholic will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings (they are ranked 210th, while Plainfield is ranked 52nd). As for Morris Catholic, Morris Catholic and D will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
