The West Jordan Jaguars will challenge the Fremont Silverwolves at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a five-game winning streak alive.
Fremont's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Friday: West Jordan hadn't allowed a single run the last four times they've hit the field. The Jaguars' pitcher stepped up to hand Granger a 10-0 shutout on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Jaguars, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Grace Mauga made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. Mauga was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

West Jordan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in five consecutive contests.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Fremont and Farmington had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Silverwolves walked away with an 18-14 victory over the Phoenix on Thursday. That's two games straight that the Silverwolves have won by exactly four runs.
Fremont got a massive performance out of Jessica Broadbent, who went 2-for-5 with seven RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Savannah Palmatier, who went 3-for-6 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double.
West Jordan pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Fremont, their win bumped their record up to 8-11.
Fremont's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: West Jordan has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.9 hits per game. It's a different story for Fremont, though, as they've been averaging 10.2 hits. Given West Jordan's sizable advantage in that area, the Silverwolves will need to find a way to close that gap.
West Jordan couldn't quite finish off Fremont in their previous matchup back in May of 2022 and fell 7-5. Will the Jaguars have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
