Park School and Key are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2021, but likely not for long. The Bruins are taking a road trip to square off against the Obezags at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Park School will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
On Friday, Park School was able to grind out a solid victory over Beth Tfiloh, taking the game 4-1.

Jack Rogers spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Owen Cyr was excellent, going 1-for-5 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Seth Katz, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Key). Everything went their way against Sts. Peter & Paul on Friday as they made off with an 18-1 win. The Obezags have beaten the Sabres the last nine times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Sabres has come to flipping the script.
John Fisher and Ben Kamins made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Fisher pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. Meanwhile, Kamins struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). At bat, Fisher went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one triple, while Kamins went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three doubles, and four RBI. Fisher is becoming a predictor of Key's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 2-5 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Angus Lunt-Woodward and Sean Flynn did most of the damage at the plate: Lunt-Woodward went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, three RBI, and one stolen base, while Flynn went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those three hits gave Flynn a new career-high. Wyatt Dowton was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI.
Key always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .657. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .517 or higher in three consecutive games.
Park School's record now sits at 9-2. As for Key, their record is now 7-5.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Park School has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Key struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Park School was able to grind out a solid victory over Key in their previous matchup back in March, winning 8-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bruins since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
