Amelia Shih made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up six earned (and one unearned) runs off 14 hits (and not a single walk). Those 13 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Eila Chan, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Kate Asperger, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one double.
