North Valley extended the longest winning streak in 4A Skyline this week by beating Hidden Valley, 49-7. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Knights.
Phoenix made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 9,725 from 10,417. The improvement came about via a 20-12 victory over Henley last week.
Klamath Union's Ben Mithcell and Jack Bell have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Mithcell has thrown for 1841 yards this season, while Bell has 17 catches for 487 yards. North Valley's Austin Neill leads the league in rushing yards with 901.
Going into this week's game against Astoria, the Pelicans' Mithcell needs 159 passing yards to surpass 2,000 on the season.
