They came out on top against Wiregrass by a score of 59-48. Given Grace Baptist Academy's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 93rd in Mississippi, while the Kings are ranked 264th in Alabama), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Wiregrass still got an impressive performance from Christian Miller, who scored 21 points. Brayden Treadaway was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Grace Baptist Academy's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.2 points per game. As for Wiregrass, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-11.
Grace Baptist Academy is on the road again on Friday and plays the Stingrays at 7:00 p.m. on February 9th. As for Wiregrass, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant against one another: Jose Giron and Miller.
