The Homestead Broncos have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 22 points or more this season. They ended the year with a bang, routing TERRA Environmental 45-23. The victory was familiar territory for Homestead who now have three in a row.
It was another big night for Caitylyn Gibson, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Homestead's points. Ava Ferniza was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with four steals.
Despite the loss, TERRA Environmental still got an impressive performance from Celeste Teboe, who scored 13 points. Teboe continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last six games she's played.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, TERRA Environmental struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Homestead's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for TERRA Environmental, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.
