They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 48-0 win over the Patriots. Given Seminole's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 16th, while Lake Brantley is ranked 231st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Karson Siqueiros-Lasky was on fire: he threw for 273 yards and five touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes. David Parks also helped out with an impressive 99 receiving yards.
The win makes it two in a row for Seminole and bumps their season record up to 7-2. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-7 Lake Brantley (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 43.8% over those games). As for Lake Brantley, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Seminole will be playing at home against Lake Mary at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lake Mary has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 367 points over their last eight contests. As for Lake Brantley, they will head out on the road to face off against Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Centennial comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 12 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
