It was a good run, but Concordia Prep unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 67-48 bruising from the St. Andrew's Episcopal Lions. While losing is never fun, the Saints can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while the Lions are ranked fourth).

When it comes to explaining why Concordia Prep lost, don't look at Presley Prettyman. Despite the final result, he went 6 of 12 en route to 17 points. Another player making a difference was Lamont Jackson, who posted six points.

Concordia Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for St. Andrew's Episcopal, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Concordia Prep will take on Gerstell Academy in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Andrew's Episcopal, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 66-63 loss against Sidwell Friends on the 17th.
