McDonald County has not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They managed a 52-48 victory over Cassville on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Lamar's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. The matchup between Lamar and Neosho wasn't particularly close, with Lamar falling 69-53. Lamar has struggled against Neosho recently, as their game on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
McDonald County's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Lamar, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
McDonald County didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Lamar in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 43-37 victory.
