The Greenville Green Wave had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 49-40 win over Troy on Friday. The score was all tied up 25-25 at the break, but Greenville was the better team in the second half.
Greenville can attribute much of their success to Drew Hamilton, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hamilton has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Chick, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Greenville's win bumped their record up to 3-12. As for Troy, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greenville will take on Bethel at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Bethel is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Troy, they will be playing at home against Miamisburg at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday. Miamisburg knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine matches -- so hopefully Troy likes a good challenge.
