A big congratulations to  Vicente Cortez, who  rushed for at least 100  rushing yards for the first time in his career. He rushed for 109 yards and three  TDs as Merced took down Downey  41-39. Our internal rating system judged Friday's   effort as the best he's  ever given (but hopefully not for long).
