The Armwood Hawks lost against the Bloomingdale Bulls back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Armwood took a 54-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bloomingdale. While losing is never fun, Armwood can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 586th, while Bloomingdale is ranked 248th).
Despite the defeat, Armwood had strong showings from Talon Mckinnie, who scored 18 points, and Abe Diallo, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that Diallo pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Henry Morgan, who scored eight points.
Armwood has not been sharp recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season. As for Bloomingdale, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Armwood will challenge Lennard at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bloomingdale, they will head out on the road to square off against East Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. East Bay will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive.
