The Munford Cougars will face off against the Memphis Central Warriors at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Munford is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
On Friday, Munford didn't have too much breathing room in their  contest against Germantown, but they still walked away with a  29-24 victory. The 29-point effort marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring  matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
 Bricen Turnage produced another solid  performance rushing for 160 yards and one  TD on only 13 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 55 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Another back making a difference was  Tay Starks, who rushed for 114 yards and one  touchdown.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Munford was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 349  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 226  rushing yards in 19 consecutive  games  dating back to last season.
 On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Munford's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess:  Turnage,  Kylan Sharp,  and  Caleb Polk, who each picked up one  sack apiece.
 Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Memphis Central). They blew past Kingsbury, posting  a  54-8 win. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive  victory against them.
 Munford's win bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Memphis Central, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.
