The biggest upset of the week belonged to St. Joseph-by-the-Sea, who took down 43rd ranked St. Joseph-by-the-Sea, 40-6.
Archbishop Stepinac's MALCOM MAJOR recorded the longest rushing play in Catholic AAA-AA this season in his game against Mt. St. Michael Academy last week. MAJOR ran for 82 yards on the play and finished with 185 on the day as his team topped the Mountaineers.
Archbishop Stepinac's dynamic duo of BRANDON COLEMAN and MAJOR proved tough for Mt. St. Michael Academy to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. COLEMAN threw for 120 yards and 2 touchdowns and MAJOR had 32 yards receiving. DAMARCUS MILER helped Archbishop Stepinac's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 33 yards.
Mike ODonnell's team's dynamic duo of COLEMAN and MAJOR proved to be unstoppable against Mario Valentini's team, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Jordan Gowins was the best running back in the league this week. In 18 carries, he ran for 180 yards as St. Anthony's topped the Mountaineers. Teammate Naim Jones added to the ground attack by rushing for 31 yards.
COLEMAN put up the best numbers in passing as Archbishop Stepinac defeated Mt. St. Michael Academy.
MAJOR was the best wideout in the league this week as the Crusaders bested the Mountaineers.
The marquee game in Catholic AAA-AA this week will be the clash between Chaminade and Iona Prep. The Flyers enters the contest ranked second in the state, while the Gaels ranks 18th.
Holy Trinity moved up to 151 from 262 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Titans were able to make move up by topping St. Francis 21-18.
