The Loyola College Prep Flyers are taking a road trip to square off against the Southwood Cowboys at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Southwood took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Loyola College Prep, who comes in off a win.
On Wednesday, Loyola College Prep got the win against North Caddo by a conclusive 14-2.

Larkin Krieg was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March.
In other batting news, Presley Walker was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in March. Jillian Drouillard was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Loyola College Prep was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Caddo only posted a batting average of .250.
Meanwhile, Southwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 41-21 to Mansfield.
Haleigh Roberts led a balanced group of hitters, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with five RBI, two runs, and one double. That double marked the first that she hit this season. Another player making a difference was Ayanna Lister-Mosley, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run.
Loyola College Prep's record is now 7-12. As for Southwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-13.
Everything went Loyola College Prep's way against Southwood in their previous meeting back in March, as Loyola College Prep made off with an 18-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Flyers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
